This photograph shows the steepness of the slope of the garden at this point and some of the stones removed from the ground. The plot was marked out with string and reinforcing rods topped with florescent tennis balls as a health and safety concession!

The Arbutus and bare pomegranite are healed in. Incidentally the large variegatred Agave in the background on the pool bank flowered and collapsed in July 2003 !
