This
is one thing that I have never contemplated and know nothing about the
game at all. If you are interested in playing golf while staying at Casa
Martin then this
site appears to be useful. There are courses, 18 and 9 hole, all over
the region and most allow non-residents and non-members to play at certain
times of the day/year. Most require a current handicap certificate. The
closest courses to Casa Martin are at Vilamoura, Val de Lobo and Quinta
do Lago. There are also driving ranges and lots of golf clothing and equipment
shops.
There are several riding stables in the area - the closest to Casa Martin being the Crazy Horse Ranch (Rancho Cavalo Loco) which is actually on the same hillside as us but is easiest to find off the Loulé - Bouliqieme road.
Vilamoura has diving, sailing and big game fishing.
Tennis courts can be found in Loulé at the new municipal swimming pool complex on the Sao Bras Road and there are several tennis complexes in the coastal resorts.
