Paderne
Paderne is a charming small village about 15 minutes easy drive from Casa Martin. Just outside of the village there is a dramatic ruined moorish castle, a remarkably well preserved roman bridge, riverside and good country walks. It is a useful place to take a picnic without being too far away. The scenery is very pretty especially in the spring when the cistus is in bloom and there is a good chance of spotting a kingfisher or Bonellis Eagle.
