One of the reasons that the Algarve is such a popular holiday destination is the weather. Lets be honest its just better in the Algarve most of the time. It is nearly always better than in the United Kingdom where we are based and there is something wonderful about waking up in the morning knowing that it is going to be a good day with blue skies and sunshine: there is reputed to be more sunshine here than anywhere else in Europe.
For those of you who wish to be better informed of the weather and get the forecast for the next five days the site we use is on Yahoo. The constantly updating temperature indicator at the top of this page is from Wunderground (sounds slightly alarming initially but is only short for Weather Underground apparently) is another intriguing site which has archives going back years which will tell you the temperature, windspeed and precipitation (rain to you and I) so that you can find out what it was like last year at the time you are visiting. Just remember though that the weather is a bit like the stock market and past performance is not a totally reliable indicator. |
